Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco's children enjoyed a playful outing - and sported some fun red noses - as they attended a Circus Festival with their parents on Saturday.

The royal couple appeared in high spirits as they were snapped at the Grand Parade and Open-Air Circus Show with their nine-year-old twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques in Monte-Carlo.

Charlene, 45, looked typically chic as she wrapped up warm in a beige coat which she paired with a black polo neck jumper.

She completed the look with black trousers and suede boots - and added a touch of glamour with diamond earrings.

Elsewhere Albert, 65, looked smart in a navy coat and grey trousers.

The 46th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival celebrated its founder, the late Prince Rainier III - Albert's father - with a blend of traditional and modern circus acts.

The couple smiled as they took their children around the attractions.

There were decorated floats, artists in costume, elephants, horses, an orchestra and  even clowns who provided the musical entertainment for the Parade.

The family outing comes after the couple handed out gifts to excited children at the Prince's Palace last month.

Former Olympian Charlene looked festive in a red jumper, which she teamed with matching vibrant heeled boots.

She also donned a black coat while walking arm-in-arm with her husband Albert who opted for a Christmas-themed tie for the occasion.

He paired his red accessory - which was decorated with designs of Santa Claus, Christmas trees, stockings and presents - with a crisp white shirt and a navy coat and trousers.

Charlene and Albert were all smiles as they chatted to the families who were visiting the palace.

It's been a busy month for the couple had also recently attended a Christmas charity drive at the Red Cross headquarters.

The pair spent the afternoon handing out Christmas presents to elders as part of the festive celebration.

It came shortly after an adorable portrait of the the Monegasque royals was revealed by fan accounts for their 2023 Christmas card.

In the image, albert and Charlene can be seen posing alongside their young children, who have both just celebrated their ninth birthdays.

While the Palace is yet to release the official portrait, an early copy was shared by a royal fan account on Instagram. The official version is expected to have higher definition.

Unlike the Prince and Princess of Wales's casual Christmas card, Monaco's royal family took a much more formal approach.

Princess Charlene looked spectacular in a sophisticated cowl neck velvet dress in burnt copper.

The mother-of-two sweetly embraced her son Jacques, who leant into his mother's chest in the snap.

Smiling in front of a Christmas tree, Albert matched his son and dressed to the nines in a tuxedo. He stood behind his family for the photoshoot while keeping one hand firmly on his wife's back.

Meanwhile nine-year-old Gabriella put on a sweet display in a deep crimson dress, which, like her mother's, was made of velour.
