Strasbourg vs PSG

Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and PSG can lock up the Ligue 1 title with a win or draw at Strasbourg in the penultimate match of the 2022/23 season.

The defending Ligue 1 champions, who beat Strasbourg 2-1 in Paris back in December, currently have a six-point lead over second-place Lens, who will be in action at the same time on Saturday as they host already-relegated Ajaccio.

On the final day of the season PSG will be hosting Clermont Foot in what could be Lionel Messi's final match with the club. Lens travel to Auxerre with those matches once again kicking off at the same time.

Strasbourg (39 points) are six points above the relegation zone with two matches to play and supporters of the club will be keeping a close eye on Nantes, who occupy the final relegation spot (33 points) and will be in action at LOSC Lille.

Sporting News is following Strasbourg vs. PSG live and providing score updates, commentary, and highlights as they happen.

Strasbourg vs PSG live updates, Ligue 1 highlights Half-time: Strasbourg 0-0 PSG

59th min.: Goal PSG! It's Messi! Kylian Mbappe keeps possession wide left, waiting for Messi's run and then feeds him in the box. Messi does the rest and fires inside the far netting. His 16th of the season.

46th min.: Second half is underway. No changes.

Halftime: This 0-0 draw continues to suit both PSG and Strasbourg, who are trying to secure the Ligue 1 title and Ligue 1 safety, respectively.

A loss for either team would bring some nerves on the final day next weekend as 2nd place Lens are winning 3-0 at halftime, as are relegation battlers Nantes (1-0 at Lille).

42nd min.: Chance PSG! It's a Lionel Messi free-kick and he just misses the target. Messi will continue to be dangerous on set pieces around the box.

38th min.: Chance Strasbourg! Diarra hits the post! Diallo knocks a long ball down to Diarra who blasts a beautiful drive which had PSG's Donnarumma beat. These two Strasbourg forwards are giving PSG issues.,

36th min.: Chance PSG! Messi misses the target. He'll feel he could've done better with that look at the top of the box.

34th min.: Penalty for Strasboug? A cross from the right into the PSG box was deflected by Bitshiabu and the ball went off his arm. But the referee consults with the VAR and no penalty is given.

Meanwhile, Lens are winning 3-0, so PSG's lead will be cut down unless the Parisians can score.

29th min.: Chances PSG! First it's Mbappe on a solo run in the box stopped by Doukoure. And on the ensuing corner, Strasbourg 'keeper Sels makes the stop on a Renato Sanches volley.

27th min.: Lens and Nantes are both winning their matches. PSG's lead is currently at four points with Strasbourg also ahead of Nantes by four.

The draw suits both PSG and Strasbourg just fine for now.

14th min.: Chance Strasbourg! PSG defender Bitshiabu with the backpass intercepted by Habib Diallo, who sends a ball across the six-yard box from a tight angle, but no one is there.

Strasbourg very much into this game and their fans are making themselves felt.

11th min.: Chance PSG! Lionel Messi lofts a ball over the top for a run by Mbappe, but Strasbourg 'keeper Sels comes off his line to intercept. That Messi-Mbappe connection will be the key for PSG as always is the case.

7th min.: YELLOW card to Vitinha. He brings down Habib Diarra and it's been an electric start to this match. Great energy, with the fans having a lot to do with it.

1st min.: We'll also be following what happens in the other matches that are of interest to these two teams.

Kickoff: The match is underway.

15 mins to KO: Kylian Mbappe inadvertently hit a girl with a shot during warmups and personally made sure that she was brought down to the field and tended to.

Très beau geste de Kylian Mbappe qui est allé se renseigner sur l’état de santé d’une jeune femme en tribune. L’international français lui avait malencontreusement tiré dessus lors de l’échauffement. ????
