AC Milan could go a long way toward securing second place in the Serie A table on Sunday when they host Genoa at the San Siro.

The match will begin at noon EDT and you can live stream it on Paramount+ (FREE trial).

April turned into a rough month for the Rossoneri, as they last won on April 6 and since have gone five matches without winning. That includes a 0-0 draw against Juventus on April 27 and a 2-1 loss to Inter Milan on April 22.

Still, AC Milan is sitting with 70 points in the Serie A table, five ahead of Juventus and six in front of Bologna.

AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori and Davide Calabria are all eligible for Sunday’s match following their respective bans but captain Calabria has been ruled out because of an injury.

Meanwhile, Yunus Musah is set to serve a one-match ban while Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mike Maignan and Pierre Kalulu are reportedly unavailable for selection.

Moreover, Tommaso Pobega and Luka Jovic are unlikely to play, according to goal.com.

Olivier Giroud is expected to start on the front line, with either Samu Chukwueze or Noah Okafor to replace Loftus-Cheek in attack.

For Genoa, Alan Matturro following surgery will continue to be sidelined at least through May, and Mattia Bani, Ruslan Malinovskyi and Milan loanee Junior Messias are all also expected to be out.

If Albert Gudmundsson is unable to recover from illness, either Vitinha and Caleb Ekuban will be in line to start alongside Mateo Retegui in the final third.

AC Milan have lost their last two home games across all competitions (vs. Roma and Inter) and a loss on Sunday would extend the streak to three for the first time since between February and March 2014 (vs Atlético de Madrid, Juventus and Parma) under Clarence Seedorf).

But that would take Genoa reversing a streak of four straight Serie A losses to AC Milan, three of those shutouts. In their top-flight history, only once have Milan had a longer winning run against the Grifone – seven wins between 1959 and 1963.

As for Christian Pulisic, enjoying a stellar season for the Rossoneri, he scored the winning (and only) goal when these teams met in the reverse match in October. Pulisic has 10 goals in Serie A competition so far during this 2023-24 season.
