Play has already begun on all courts, except Court Philippe-Chatrier, which has an 11:45am start today, and our early pick of the day would be a generational clash on Court 9 between 2021 Roland-Garros finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and 18-year-old Czech Linda Fruhvirtova, who is making her tournament debut.
Fruhvirtova reached the Australian Open fourth round last January and is ranked 59 in the world.
The 31-year-old Pavlyuchenkova took a seven-month break from the game last year to recover from a knee injury and is making her way back up the rankings. The former world No.11 is ranked 333 this week.
Pavlyuchenkova is up 4-0 in the first set against Fruhvirtova.
