Crystal Palace 4-3 West Ham LIVE REACTION: Eze admits Eagles ...
Crystal Palace all-but secured their Premier League survival after coming from behind to secure a thrilling 4-3 victory over West Ham.
The Eagles moved up to eleventh ahead of Chelsea to reach the coveted 40-point survival mark following the win.
Palace recovered brilliantly to bounce back from Tomas Soucek’s early strike to race into a 3-1 lead after Jordan Ayew, the returning Wilfried Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp scored in the space of 15 first-half minutes.
Soucek played a part in both West Ham’s next two goals after two of his near post headers from corners were bundled into the net.
But sandwiched in between those was a coolly taken Eberechi Eze penalty that proved enough for Palace to take all three points.
West Ham remain 15th after their second Premier League defeat in a week, five points clear of the relegation zone.
