Floods in Libya: Al Ahly Benghazi - Asec Mimosas postponed and relocated

Scheduled to take place on Saturday, the match between Al Ahly Benghazi and Asec Mimosa, counting for the 2nd round first leg of the CAF Champions League, has changed date and venue. Due to the tragic floods which have caused thousands of deaths in Libya, the Confederation of African Football has announced the postponement of the game in view of the situation in the country.The match has been postponed to Monday September 18, and will now be played on Tunisian soil at the Stade Olympique in Sousse, the body announced.

In a statement, CAF says it will observe "a minute's silence at all its soccer matches, including the CAF Super Cup 2023, the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup, to respect and honor those who lost their lives following the earthquake in Morocco as well as the floods in Libya."
