Fans of Big Brother Mzansi can brace themselves for the competition's fourth instalment, set to hit our screens next year, following the success of the show's previous edition.

This after Mzansi Magic on Wednesday announced the return of the show, which the channel promised to be bigger and better.

The channel has urged South Africans to come out for auditions.

Those interested in entering should send a two-minute video, be a citizen/legal resident of South Africa and be 21 years or older, the show explained, adding that entry was free.

The show's selection team is looking for housemates who are accepting of viewpoints and lifestyle preferences that differ from their own, as well as fun-loving, creative, unique and outspoken individuals.

On Twitter, Big Brother shared its exciting return.

Mzansi Magic says that the auditions will take place from 1 to 20 November 2023. The live broadcast of the show will air on 21 January 2024.

South Africans need to know that they will not be paid to appear on the show. However, Mzansi Magic explained:

The prize offered [for the winner] on Big Brother Mzansi won’t be less than R 1 million, and it could be as high as a mouth-watering R2 million!

Former housemates are not allowed to enter as the show is calling for fresh entries to find new housemates.

TV host and entertainment commentator Phil Mphela took to social media platform, X, formerly Twitter, to share his views on how those who take part should play the game.

Big Brother Mzansi is back. A simple ask; Can we please just have regular South Africans who will not spend the entire time in the house auditioning to be celebrities, worried about the outside career, performing for the camera, etc. Big Brother works when HMs are in the… pic.twitter.com/5I68fQ5UwY
