Big Brother Mzansi has become a popular show for South African viewers. Although the age restriction surpasses the years of childhood, the iconic voice of Biggie is known throughout all ages.

The reality competition show sees contestants – known as housemates – live in an isolated house and participate in an array of activities to avoid eviction and win a grand prize. In the fourth season of the show, which premiered on 21 January 2024, contestants stand a chance to win a whopping R2 million.

In a viral video on TikTok posted by the user @aqhama_dayimani, many school children and what appeared to be staff members gathered outside, surrounding a rustic, manmade stage.

Taking on Biggie’s voice in a short performance, the schoolboy received a roar of applause and cheers from his fellow peers.

Since posing the video, @aqhama_dayimani has amassed over 1.5 million views and received over 120,000 comments.

Seeing the video, one TikToker wrote, “Big Brother must give you that R2 million.”

“That’s a stepping stone, the guy must consider being a voice-over artist. The problem is that we are not taught this at school,” wrote one social media user.

While another person commented, “Big Brother is rated R18, I hope none of these kids are watching.”

Earlier in the year, one Big Brother Mzansi fan complained to the show’s host, Lawrence Maleka, that they were unimpressed with Biggie’s new voice.

“Think of the first time you started at something, how you prayed that it would work out and how kind and patient those who were far more experienced than you were or rather how you wish they could have been,” responded Lawrence to an upset fan.

Pleas had not fallen upon deaf ears as the voice was swiftly changed by the channel to one viewers preferred.
