The death toll in the collapse of a five-storey building under construction along Victoria Street in George has risen to two, with 53 people still trapped in the rubble.
George municipal spokesperson Chantel Edwards-Klose said the two workers were certified dead at the scene.
The building was next to the George municipality offices.
