When is Amazon's Black FridaySale 2023?

You've not got long to wait, as Black Friday falls on November 24 this year. The fun catch, however, is that Amazon's Black Friday sale is already happening, having started on 17th November and running right up until Cyber Monday, which falls on 27th November.

How to sign up for Amazon Prime

Convinced? Good, but before you start punching in your card details, you'll need to make sure you're signed up to Amazon's Prime subscription service if you really want to make the most out of the upcoming sale.

Amazon Prime is the system that gives you free next-day deliveries, access to all the exclusive offers throughout the sale and unlocks the door to Prime Video, the streaming service where thousands of films and top shows like Jack Ryan and Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power reside. It's a seriously good service with plenty of value for money and will be your best bet if you want to actually save money on Amazon this Black Friday.

To sign up, it's £8.99 a month or £89 for the year, though there is a way to get 30 days for free when you sign up with an email that hasn't previously been connected to Amazon before. Sign up like this and you can get the whole month of November with Amazon Prime for free – just remember to cancel your subscription before the end of the month if you don't want to be automatically charged.

There aren't too many deals lurking online right now, seeing as we're still some way away from the big event, so for now, we've picked out a selection of our favourite gadgets that Amazon usually has on sale. Keep an eye on prices and keep this page tabbed to find out exactly when the discounts arrive.

How do I find the best Amazon deals on Black Friday?

The Amazon Black Friday sales can be a complex and overwhelming time for even the most experienced online shoppers, so you're going to need to do a bit of prep beforehand to make the most out of it. Our advice is always to think about what products you want to buy before the sale starts and make a list to make it harder for your deal-addled brain to get distracted by stuff you weren't initially interested in buying.

Is Amazon cheaper on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are separated by the weekend, and many shoppers might be wondering if it's better to hang on until the last day of the sale to find out if there will be any better offers at the death of the event. In our experience, there really isn't that much of a difference between the two days, and prices have rarely been any different or especially improved from one day to the next.

If you're going to buy a deal, we recommend snapping it up as soon as you see it, particularly with the news that Royal Mail will be launching strike action throughout the Amazon Black Friday weekend. Members will be striking from November 24th and 25th to the 30th and December 1, which could cause some significant delays to your deliveries. If you're hoping to grab some late deals in time for Christmas wrapping in December, you're better off ordering as early as possible to avoid disappointment. This is particularly true as there are suggestions there could be further strike action closer to Christmas as well.
