If one looked at log position alone, then Saturday's United Rugby Championship (URC) clash between the Stormers and Edinburgh in Cape Town should have been a lot tougher for the hosts.
But the gulf in quality between these sides was visible from start to finish as the Stormers - URC champions in 2022 and runners-up in 2023 - landed a comfortable 43-21 victory in front of crowd of 23 000 to take a significant step towards the playoffs for a third straight year.
