Selena Gomez Celebrates Billionaire Status With Selfie

This week, Selena Gomez was reported to have reached billionaire status due to the success of her Rare Beauty brand company, amongst her many other endeavors. It’s a pretty huge milestone, even for someone with a career like Gomez. She’s had her share of milestones and it’s still a very big deal.

Gomez seemed to take the news in a relaxed way, sharing a chill selfie from bed where she’s wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of pink-framed glasses. She posted the image in her Stories without comment on Friday night.

The Rare Beauty brand launched in 2020 and has done amazing sales.

“I really tried my hardest to create a product that were beyond just me putting my name on something,” Selena said last year of Rare Beauty’s success. “I wanted the products to be great, and I also wanted the message to be that makeup is meant to be fun.”

She wants the makeup line “to create a safe, welcoming space in beauty—and beyond—that supports mental well-being across age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, cultural background, physical or mental ability, and perspective.”

But she also earns her money through endorsement deals with Louis Vuitton, Coach, and Puma, and others. There are also her wildly successful roles on the Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place and its reboot and her salary from the popular Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. And don’t forget her music. At the moment, however, Gomez seems to be focused on performing again.

“Acting has, and will always be, my heart,” she told The Hollywood Reporter after receiving an Emmy nomination for Only Murders in the Building. “There’s so much that I want to do and that I haven’t even scratched the surface of, and it’s exciting to me.”
