WATCH | 2021 July unrest accused Ngizwe Mchunu walks free

JOHANNESBURG - Ngizwe Mchunu, the alleged instigator of the July 2021 unrest has been acquitted on all charges at Randburg Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Mchunu, a former Ukhozi FM presenter has maintained his innocence from the beginning.

The unrest saw people mostly in KZN and Gauteng, disrupt and loot shops.

More than 350 people died in the unrest, and businesses reported losses amounting to billions.
