Miche Minnies grabbed a hat-trick, while Boitumelo Rabale scored a brace and Salome Kekana was also on the score sheet, as they condemned the rookies to number 15 on the log, with four points in seven matches. The seventh goal was an own goal by the KwaZulu-Natal-based side. Minnies and Rabale also shot to the top goal scorer chats tied with TS Galaxy’s Busisiwe Ndimeni on five goals.

University of Pretoria (Tuks) are back in second position following their 3-2 victory over City Lads at home. Tuks are now tied with Sundowns on 15 points, both from six outings but occupy second spot due to an inferior goal difference.

Elsewhere University of Johannesburg (UJ), who went into the international break in top position, dropped points against University of Western Cape (UWC) at the UJ Stadium in Soweto. The visitors took the lead through a Sibulelle Holweni penalty but the Orange Army levelled through Gugu Dhlamini. However, it was the Blues captain Bongeka Gamade who got the winner. The result means UJ dropped to third spot on the log with 13 points from seven matches while UWC rose two places up to eighth with 11 points from six outings.
