Addressing a rally in Melghat in support of incumbent MP Navneet Rana’s candidacy for the Amravati Lok Sabha seat, Fadnavis expressed surprise at the MVA government’s actions, which included sending public representatives to jail for simply reciting it.

“The then CM had warned Rana that he would not allow her to chant the Hanuman Chalisa. However, she stood her ground, asserting that no one could stop her from remembering Lord Hanuman. I want to ask them if the Chalisa cannot be chanted in Mumbai, should we go to Pakistan for it?” Fadnavis said.
Addressing the gathering in local tribal language, the deputy CM expressed his gratitude for being able to address the people on auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. He appealed them to elect Rana to Parliament for the welfare of not only their region but the entire district.

Highlighting the two contrasting options in upcoming polls, Fadnavis drew a comparison between the leadership of Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is part of the INDIA bloc comprising 26 parties. Fadnavis likened Modi’s leadership to a powerful engine driving the nation’s progress.
“In contrast, Gandhi’s INDIA bloc has only engines led by Thackeray, NCP founder Sharad Pawar, DMK’s Stalin, and others, pulling the alliance towards Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, and Kolkata. These are not just corporation or Zilla Parishad elections but crucial Lok Sabha polls that will determine the nation’s future leadership. The opposition always mocked him, saying that a tea seller had become PM, he said.
