Everton v Crystal Palace: All you need to know

Everton

Everton and Crystal Palace meet at Goodison Park and both sides will be desperate to pick up a vital win and move away from the relegation zone.

Sean Dyche’s side, who are 18th, have failed to pick up a victory in their last seven Premier League matches, having won their previous four with as many clean sheets.

Meanwhile, 16th-place Palace have lost their last three away matches in the competition and will hope their second successive Monday match will go better than their last, a 3-1 home defeat to Chelsea.

It is unclear whether Roy Hodgson will be able to attend this match after the Palace manager was taken ill in a training session last week.

A club statement on Thursday said: “We can confirm that he is now stable and is currently undergoing tests in hospital. Everybody at the club sends their best wishes to Roy for a speedy recovery.”

When the two sides met back in November, it was Everton who edged a five-goal thriller at Selhurst Park and another win would earn them a league double over Palace for the first time since the 2004/05 season.

Team news

Everton's Abdoulaye Doucoure could return, while Amadou Onana and Seamus Coleman are in contention to play.

Arnaut Danjuma (ankle), Dele Alli (groin) and Andre Gomes (calf) will miss out for Palace.

After winning back-to-back away league matches against Everton 3-2 in 2014, Palace are winless in their last eight visits to Goodison Park (D3 L5).

Everton have drawn their last two Premier League matches at Goodison Park – they haven’t drawn three in a row at home since a run of four in January/February 2015.
