After abruptly halting training with AmaZulu FC last week, Makhubela made a return to the training ground on Wednesday, gearing up for the upcoming clash against Golden Arrows.

Coach Martin, while not disclosing specific details, mentioned that a decision regarding the 29-year-old attacking midfielder had been made by the technical team.

However, he emphasized that the final verdict would lie with the management, who would ultimately have the authority to make the call on Makhubela’s future with the club.

Martin stated, ‘Some decisions are for other people to make. And from there they are the ones who need to negotiate or make the final call and let’s see what happens. I can’t tell you right now, you already know that he’s training with us.’

The coach also hinted at AmaZulu FC’s intention to reinforce their squad in the January transfer window, expressing satisfaction with the current team but acknowledging the need for potential acquisitions to enhance competitiveness.

He added, ‘From the beginning, they have been working from day one till today. It’s amazing to share the pitch with these warriors and human beings. We are going to keep pushing with them but also our responsibility as coaches as members of the technical team which is monitoring players to keep paying attention to the market.’

Martin concluded by stressing the importance of remaining vigilant in the player market, waiting for the right opportunities to bolster the squad and elevate the team’s performance levels as they strive for success in their upcoming fixtures.
