Mokwena's Wydad Suffer Fourth League Defeat - iDiski Times
Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club suffered a 4-1 defeat against MAS de Fes after they were reduced to 10-man inside 11 minutes.
Wydad came into the game against MAS de Fes under massive pressure after earlier results which saw Renaissance Zemamre and FUS Rabat collecting maximum points.
The Red Castle dropped to fifth place and had to win against MAS de Fes which they understood very well as they started the game like a house on fire looking to collect maximum points and get back to the title race.
Wydad was reduced to 10-man inside 11 minutes after Ismael Benktib was shown a straight red card.
10 minutes later, Red Castle took the lead after Cassius Mailula set up Mohamed Rayhi following a clumsy defending from MAS de Fes.
With six minutes before the halftime break, MAS Fes equalized through former Chippa United midfielder Kabelo Seakanyeng.
They went into halftime level at 1-1.
After the second half got underway, Wydad was awarded a penalty inside 70 minutes after Mailula was brought down into the box. After the referee consulted VAR the penalty was cancelled.
MAS Fes led for the first time in the game, with 15 minutes remaining in regulation time after Mohamed El Badoui made it 2-1.
Hamid Ahdad sealed the three points for MAS Fes after the Wydad goalkeeper saved the ball to his path and made no mistake to make it 3-1.
