WWE Bad Blood 2024

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Last night was the 2024 WWE Bad Blood premium live event. You know the score with the typical follow-up question from that. Based on everything that went down at the show, what were your biggest positives and negatives from your personal perspectives?

My question for you today is “What is your low point and highlight of WWE Bad Blood 2024?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Overall, I liked the event quite a bit. On a show where nothing really happened in the sense of title changes and all, they ran some interesting angles that will push things forward in interesting ways, for the most part.

The low point for me, therefore, was the Damian Priest and Finn Balor match. It’s the only one on the show that didn’t push forward something new. The match was good, but it involved the same level of interference from the rest of The Judgment Day as any other Monday Night Raw match, and if the feud is over between Priest and Balor, it ended in the most “aaaand they’re done” type of way with no real zazz.

If not that, then it would be the Nia Jax and Bayley match for Tiffany Stratton not actually cashing in. That just means she’ll keep up the tension with Jax and play it off like she was there to help, and the story continues exactly where we left off. Basically, it was a pointless side quest that merely reset to the same status things were before Bayley was declared No. 1 contender again.

Hell in a Cell was the best match of the night, so that gets that award. The Raquel Rodriguez thing, even though it stalls the hopeful Rhea Ripley title win, was interesting, and I’ll give them credit for introducing a new element with her. Plus, it’s nice to see that she’s healthy enough to return.

I can definitely see people saying their highlight of the night was Jimmy Uso and The Rock returning. Very cool. I love seeing Jimmy back and teaming with Roman Reigns, I loved the tension of Jimmy convincing Roman to save Cody Rhodes, I love that that cements Roman’s babyface turn more, and having the tease of The Rock will get people talking.

But, strangely enough, I’d have to say the thing that gave me the overall biggest highlight was the Triple H announcement of the Crown Jewel Championships. I immediately started fantasy booking the next few pay-per-views, and that got me excited for even where the world titles are come WrestleMania. On top of that, the Gunther and Goldberg interaction is setting up something that could be a fun attraction. I got a lot of things to look forward to by jumping ahead of myself as a predictor analyst, so it struck that chord with me. We all mark out in different, nerdy ways!
