World Cup qualifiers | Bafana, Super Eagles rivalry renewed

JOHANNESBURG - Four months after their exhilirating Afcon semi-final, Bafana Bafana and Nigeria meet again, this time, in their quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the Americas. 

The last time these two met was on 7 February, where the Super Eagles beat South Africa on penalties. 

Bafana enter this encounter at a slight disadvantage, having been in transit for more than 30 hours due to travel delays, arriving on the eve of the match and having just one training session. 

Hugo Broos' men will be hoping those challenges have no bearing on their performance, as they go in search of their third victory over the West Africans since 1992.
