South Africa has decided to go with 2 spinners in the form of Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj for the virtual knockout against West Indies in Antigua on June 24, Monday. The hosts have brought in Kyle Mayers into their lineup.

West Indies and South Africa have ringed in the changes for the virtual quarterfinal in Antigua on June 24, Monday as the Proteas have decided to go with Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj in their lineup for the match. The hosts, on the other hand, brought in Kyle Mayers into the lineup for the match instead of Johnson Charles.

Shamsi and Maharaj have mostly been rotated throughout the tournament and have been effective for South Africa. Shamsi has got 5 wickets in 2 matches while Maharaj has got 8 from 5 games. Shamsi was the star in South Africa's thrilling win against Nepal, where he picked up 4 wickets. Mayers, on the other hand, was roped in by West Indies as a replacement for the injured Brandon King. The all-rounder was part of the reserves squad for the hosts and came in place for Charles, who hasn't been consistent in the tournament.

South Africa won the toss on the day and opted to bowl first against the West Indies in Antigua. Shamsi came into the lineup for Ottneil Baartman, who had picked up 6 wickets in 5 matches. Markram said he is hoping the wicket would get better during the second half of the game.

"Going to bowl first. Can't see the wicket get any worse. Hoping it gets slightly better this evening. We're in a good space. Haven't put together a perfect game yet. The wind is really strong. Obviously the pitch has moved across. Generally a good batting wicket, gets slower as it goes on," said Markram.

Mayers will be partnering the in-form Shai Hope, who scored 82 against the USA in the last game.
