Ten Hag will be keen for a good result amid the impending investment of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is expected to take sporting control of the club once his 25 per cent stake is officially purchased. Another poor performance could spell trouble for the United manager, whose position is already under scrutiny.
Indeed, West Ham would move about United in the table if they can claim all three points at London Stadium.
