The family of the slain Liezel de Jager are saddened by the news of Werner de Jager's death.
De Jager, who was held at the Westville Correctional Centre in Durban, died in hospital.
De Jager, 45, allegedly killed his estranged wife, 38-year-old Liezel, when she returned home from a jog on 13 October 2021.
