After a thrilling 2023 Wimbledon tournament, tennis fans are thrilled to see that the US Open is soon going to be getting underway.

Taking place at Flushing Meadows in New York, most of the attention is going to be on young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. He came out on top at Wimbledon for the first time ever and he is world number one.

He is also the defending champion of the US Open after he beat Casper Rudd in the final in 2022.

No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka will be a scary opponent for anyone to face in the women's US Open as she has reached the semifinals in New York two consecutive years.

In the women's games, the biggest first round ties are No. 1 Iga Switek vs. Rebecca Peterson on Monday, August 28 at 18:00, Aryna Sabalenka vs. Maryna Zanevska and Jessica Pegula vs. Camila Giorgi on Tuesday August 29 at 20:00.
