Brazil booking: Joao Gomez becomes the latest player to see a yellow card for his challenge on Nandez.

63’ URU 0-0 BRA

Valverde takes a shot from distance again, which is not on target. Probably not the best option, considering he had four teammates waiting inside the box.

62’ URU 0-0 BRA

Brazil manages to play out a tight space and start a quick counter. Endrick has space to run at goal, with support on both sides. However, he decides to take his man on and ends up losing the ball after being crowded out.

57’ URU 0-0 BRA

A cross comes in from the left and Endrick is the one to get to the end of the cross. However, he fails to control it and Uruguay gets the ball away and starts a counter. Nunez carries the ball inside the box and keeps his calm to keep the ball. He rolls it to Maximiliano Araujo, who goes for a first time shot but skies his effort.

53’ URU 0-0 BRA

Rodrygo tries get past his marker on the left flank but he is stopped in his tracks with what surely looks like a foul. However, the referee waves play to continue, which irks Brazil coach Dorival Junior on the touchlines.

YELLOW CARD

39’ URU 0-0 BRA

Brazil booking: Lucas Paqueta sees the first yellow card of the match for his late challenge on De La Cruz.

Brazil players and coach Dorival Junior are not happy because they feel Uruguay should have seen a couple of cards as well.

38’ URU 0-0 BRA

It is Rodrygo who takes the freekick but he hits the ball straight at the wall.

37’ URU 0-0 BRA

Nandez fouls Endrick and Brazil has another freekick in a good position. It looks like Raphinha will have another go. This angle is more favourable than the last one.

35’ URU 0-0 BRA

Nunez with an excellent chance to give his team the lead. He gets at the end of a cross and tries to guide the ball inside the net with his head. But he fails to keep it on target.

It is end-to-end play as Brazil has a chance at the other end. Raphinha gets the ball and carries it inside the box. One-on-one with the keeper, he goes for a shot, but Rochet makes a solid save to keep scores level.

34’ URU 0-0 BRA

Uruguay sub: IN- Gimenez OUT- Araujo

Araujo in tears as he makes his way out of the pitch. One good thing is, he can walk and is not being stretchered off. So it remains to be seen how serious the injury is.

32’ URU 0-0 BRA

One of the trainers has asked for a substitution and that is bad news for La Celeste.

31’ URU 0-0 BRA

Chance - Endrick gets an excellent scoring chance as he gets the ball inside the box after a bad backpass from Vina. Ideally, he should have taken his man and gone for the shot but he opted to find Raphinha with a pass, which turns out to be a bad decision. Uruguay clears the ball and the chance is gone.

26’ URU 0-0 BRA

De La Cruz swings in a good cross inside the Brazil box from a freekick. Three Uruguay players went for the ball but could not get a decent connection. Eventually, the whistle is blown for offside. Araujo had timed his run a bit early.

22’ URU 0-0 BRA

Endrick shows his quick feet to kick the ball past Araujo and then get around him to continue his run. However, Araujo recovers well to get back and make the tackle. He concedes the foul but stops the tackle. A preview of what can be seen next season in La Liga.

18’ URU 0-0 BRA

Brazil fails to deal with the corner and the ball falls to Ugarte, who shoots at goal. His shot falls to Nunez, who tries to head the ball towards goal. But the header takes a deflection and flashes past the post for another Uruguay corner. That was a close one there and Alisson was a mere spectator as the ball flashed past him.

16’ URU 0-0 BRA

Endrick makes a darting run but is brought down by Valverde. The referee waves play to continue and Uruguay launches a counter attack. Pellistri makes his way from the right and goes for a low cross. But his cross is blocked and Uruguay will get a corner.

13’ URU 0-0 BRA

De La Cruz tries to set up Nunez for a shot by chesting the ball to him from the edge of the box. But Danilo intervenes before Nunez can take his shot and gets the ball to safety.

9’ URU 0-0 BRA

Endrick doing his defensive duties well as he tracks back to tackle Olivera and stop him from progressing inside the final third.

7’ URU 0-0 BRA

It has mostly been a midfield battle till now, with a lot of challenges coming in from both teams. Neither has been able to create a substantial chance in the opening minutes.

5’ URU 0-0 BRA

By the looks of it, Endrick is not getting the benefit of his young age. Ronald Araujo puts a heft challenge on him as soon as the Brazil youngster gets the ball. However, it was not a malicious tackle and play goes on.
