West Ham United's October internationals | All You Need To Know ...
The second international break of the 2024/25 season is here, with several senior West Ham United players set for action around the globe.
With major international qualifiers and Nations League matches set to be played in all corners of the world, a variety of challenges await our Hammers.
Read on for the full lowdown of who will be playing where over the next week-and-a-bit.
Who has been called up?As mentioned, a number of our players have had the call from their nations for this set of international fixtures.
Starting in Europe, our Czech Republic duo of Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal will be hoping to help push their country into the top two of UEFA Nations League Group B1 as their quest for promotion continues with fixtures against Albania and Ukraine - where they could face former teammate Andriy Yarmolenko.
Another Hammer aiming for promotion on the international stage is Dinos Mavropanos, whose Greece side face a Wembley date with England and a home meeting with Republic of Ireland in Group B2. Both Greece and England have a perfect two wins from two in the campaign so far.
Moving up a league to Group A2, and second placed France have called up Alphonse Areola once again as they target victories against Israel and Belgium.
Andy Irving has been rewarded for his Hammers breakthrough at the start of this season with his first senior Scotland call-up. They take on Croatia and Porrugal in a Group A1 double-header. 24-year-old Irving had previously won a solitary U21 cap four years ago.
Northern Ireland will have the Academy's Callum Marshall - currently on loan at Huddersfield Town - in their ranks for Group C3 fixtures against Belarus and Bulgaria. Northern Ireland are currently a point behind the aforementioned top two, having won three points from their opening two fixtures.
Heading across the Atlantic Ocean and to South America, where the FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign continues apace.
Lucas Paquetá is in the Brazil squad for games against Chile and Peru. Brazil will want to consolidate their place inside the six automatic qualification spots, with only a single point's advantage over seventh and eighth place at present.
Into the North and Central America region, and Michail Antonio's Jamaica continue their CONCACAF Nations League programme with games against Nicaragua and Honduras for a top two place - bringing qualification for their quarter-finals - up for grabs.
Edson Álvarez is back in the Mexico fold after missing the September internationals as he managed his comeback from a hamstring injury, with his country playing friendlies against Spanish club side Valencia and the United States over this window.
Finally, in Africa, Nayef Aguerd - on loan in Spain with Real Sociedad - faces a brace of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for Morocco against Central African Republic.
Coverage of this round of international fixtures appears to be fairly limited on UK television screens, with England's game against Greece to be screened on ITV1, while broadcast arrangements for Scotland's fixtures are still to be confirmed.
