NMA - UCL MD-3 Rate My Team
Entering Champions League MD-3, my team still looks far from good. MD-1 and MD-2 were average at best for me, with Harry Kane’s four-goal haul saving me. Harry Kane’s exploit in MD-1 motivated me to hand him the captain armband in MD-2 and that was a disaster. Neither Kane nor Bayern were able to score a goal as Aston Villa secured a memorable one-nil win.
It’s my third season playing UCL Fantasy, but I still do not feel as confident as I do in FPL. Achieving my first top 300,000 finish is the goal this season with my performance in previous seasons being nothing to write home about.
While I naturally get my transfers sorted out in time before the deadline for FPL, I have been repeatedly guilty of forgetting to make important transfer decisions before the deadline in UCL Fantasy.
Let’s take a look at what my team looks like for this game-week and you can tell me what to expect or changes that need to be made.
Due to the difficulty of the fixtures, Harry Kane is replaced by Erling Haaland. Bayern takes on high-flying Barcelona, while Man City welcomes Sparta Prague to the Etihad. Haaland also takes on the captain’s armband while Victor Boniface and Vlahovic combine to make up an interesting front three.
My team’s weakness is in midfield due to a lack of star players. A midfield of Lookman, Trossard, Wirtz, and Diaz is interesting, but there is room for improvement. Diaz has failed to score or assist in the Champions League this season, while Trossard can only boast of one assist. Lookman and Wirtz have fared slightly better, with one goal, one assist, and two goals, respectively.
My back line for this scrimmage looks good with all three defenders being really likely to pick up points for clean sheet. Gabriel also represents an interesting candidate for points at the other end of the pitch.
