The FBI says it is investigating “what appears to be an attempted assassination” of Donald Trump on Sunday after the US Secret Service opened fire on a gunman at the former president and Republican candidate’s golf resort in Florida. US media name the suspect as Ryan Wesley Routh, whom was interviewed by multiple news outlets in Ukraine, where he had travelled to support its war effort in 2022.
