Tottenham vs Man United lineups, live score, updates, result ...
Two teams in a heated battle for a Champions League place meet in London as Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United in Premier League action.
Spurs were beaten heavily by fellow top-four challengers Newcastle United last time out in a big blow to their hopes of qualifying for Europe's top competition. Now, with interim boss Cristian Stellini let go in favour of Ryan Mason, they must take down Man United to have any realistic hope of securing a top-four place this season.
Man United, meanwhile, are struggling in their own right, blanked by Sevilla and Brighton & Hove Albion over their last two matches, both in knockout competition.
With both teams looking vulnerable at times in recent weeks, the result of this match will go a long way towards determining next year's Champions League participants.
Man United sit fourth in the table, level with Newcastle on points, but hold a game in hand on the Magpies. Spurs, meanwhile, are seventh in the standings.

Tottenham vs. Man United live updates, highlights, commentary57 mins to kickoff: The lineups are in, and there's one surprise from new interim Tottenham boss Ryan Mason, who hands the struggling Richarlison a lifeline along the front three, replacing Dejan Kulusevski. For Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes is fit to start, while Luke Shaw is rewarded with another start at centre-back over Harry Maguire, and Jadon Sancho gets the nod moving Marcus Rashford to striker.
Bruno Fernandes starts for #MUFC at #THFC. Harry Maguire misses out through injury - he was doing individual training work with the ball yesterday so you’d imagine it’s nothing too serious
— Simon Peach (@SimonPeach) April 27, 20231 hour 10 mins to kickoff: A fun note for the match today, Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero will play this game on his birthday. Romero turns 25 years old, his first birthday as a World Cup champion.
Happy birthday, Cuti ???????? pic.twitter.com/6YbG6ZudHa
— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) April 27, 20231 hour 25 mins to kickoff: Today's referee is Anthony Taylor, who will take charge of a Manchester United match for the fifth time this season, an unusual amount for one referee and one club. It's not always gone well for the Red Devils when he has the whistle either, as they dropped points in three of the four previous matches this season that he has officiated.
— The United Stand (@UnitedStandMUFC) April 27, 20231 hour 40 mins to kickoff: There are questions over whether Harry Kane will return to Tottenham next season. His contract is up in the summer of 2024, and Spurs could potentially cash in big on the 29-year-old. Manchester United are thought to be the frontrunners for Kane's signature this coming summer, so could this be an audition for his future club?
— ???????????? ????????????’???? ???????????????? ✍???????????? (@TenHagBall_) April 26, 20232 hours to kickoff: Last time out, Tottenham were beaten before they could even blink. It was the ugliest opening half-hour Spurs could have possibly drawn up.
While it's hard to imagine that happening again in any capacity, it could provide Manchester United some key film in terms of figuring out ways to beat the Spurs defensive line throughout today's match.
Between that and the reverse fixture between these two sides last October, in which Spurs were soundly beaten at Old Trafford, the visitors will have plenty of knowledge on ways to pick apart today's opponents. Now, it'll be all about execution for Erik ten Hag's men, which they have struggled to complete across the last few matches.

— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) April 23, 2023 Tottenham vs. Man United lineups, team newsMason faced a host of selection calls ahead of taking charge against United, with captain Hugo Lloris not fit, and Ben Davies struggling with injury. Ryan Sessegnon has been missing since mid-February with a hamstring injury, and while he is thought to be nearing a return, he is not ready to take the field.
Fraser Forster steps in for Lloris in goal, while Lucas Moura is back in the squad after a three-game ban, and Clement Lenglet proves fit to start.
The biggest surprise for Ryan Mason's first lineup has come up front, where he hands the struggling Richarlison a start over Dejan Kulusevski.
Tottenham confirmed starting lineup (3-4-3): Forster (GK) — Romero, Dier, Lenglet — Porro, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Perisic — Richarlison, Kane, Son.
Tottenham subs (9): Austin (GK), Tanganga, Sanchez, Sarr, Davies, Mundle, Lucas Moura, Danjuma, Kulusevski.
United's injury picture remains unchanged, with Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay amongst seven first-team players ruled out. One of those set to miss out, Alejandro Garnacho, has returned to training from his long-term ankle injury but is not yet ready for match action.
Harry Maguire is back after being suspended for the Brighton FA Cup win, but Luke Shaw remains in his place as Maguire is struggling with a slight injury and does not appear in the squad. Bruno Fernandes is ready to play in a huge boost for the Red Devils after questions over his fitness.

Oddsmakers expect goals in this match, given Spurs' defensive woes, United's talent, and the ever-present Harry Kane. Marcus Rashford is mired in a late-season slump and Bruno Fernandes was unable to unlock Brighton in the FA Cup over the weekend, but that has done little to deter the betting market.
