The Hoddle of Coffee: Tottenham Hotspur news and links for ...
good morning!
I know it might seem strange, but I’ve been watching a fair amount of Belgian football lately. It certainly helps that Toby Alderweireld, Vincent Janssen and Jan Vertonghen all play in the league.
It also happens to be the only football that’s on when I wake up on Sunday mornings (usually around 7.20am). So, yeah, I like to turn on the Belgian footy while I’m making my eggs and coffee, and getting ready for my run.
This past Sunday I watched parts of Club Brugges versus Genk. The win actually had some big ramificatiosn for the table. With the 2-0 win, Club Brugges are now just one point back of Genk for the title race.
Last Sunday, your hoddler-in-chief witnessed parts of Aldereweireld’s Royal Antwerp lose 3-1 to Charleroi at home. That’s a pretty bad loss.
I haven’t seen much else of the Belgian Pro League yet, but consider me intrigued. I’ll continue to tune in and report.
