Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as the new manager of the England national team, according to Fabrizio Romano. The German coach steps in to replace Gareth Southgate after reaching an agreement with the English Football Association (FA). Tuchel makes history as the first German to ever lead the English national side.

Tuchel’s contract will run for a significant period and will earn him approximately £5 million per year, as reported by Sky Sports. The FA made the decision after carefully evaluating the ideal candidate to guide England through its next competitive cycle, with hopes of establishing the team as a top contender in upcoming international tournaments.

This appointment marks Tuchel’s return to England, where he previously made a lasting impact by winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021. Throughout his career, he has also managed Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, PSG, and Bayern Munich, winning league titles in both France and Germany. His vast experience was instrumental in securing his appointment as the new leader of the national team.

Tuchel’s arrival signals the beginning of a new era for England, as the team aims to break its long-standing international title drought. Fans and media alike hope that his tactical expertise and past success in European competitions will be key to shaping the future of the English side.
