New KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has announced his provincial cabinet that will lead the government of provincial unity. 

The new provincial executive council comprises a mix of leaders from the IFP, ANC, DA and NFP, a move necessitated by the hung result in the May general election. 

Ntuli announced his cabinet as follows:

IFP MPL Musa Zondi as Economic Development and Environment Affairs MECIFP MPL Thulasizwe Buthelezi, Cooperative Governance and Traditional AffairsANC MPL Nomagugu Simelane, HealthNFP MPL Mbali Shinga, Social DevelopmentDA MPL Martin Meyer, Public Works and InfrastructureDA MPL Francois Rodgers, Provincial TreasuryIFP MPL Thembeni Madlopha-Mthethwa, Agriculture and Rural Development;ANC MPL Siboniso Duma, Department of Transport and Human SettlementsANC MPL Siphosihle Hlomuka, Education andIFP MPL Mntomuhle Khawula, Sports, Arts and Culture.

Ntuli moved the community and safety department to his office.
