Sundowns need to score early against Stellenbosch in MTN8 2nd ...
Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has called on the players to score early in the match against Stellenbosch.
Sundowns will take on Stellies in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-finals on Sunday at the Moses Mabhida stadium.
The Brazilians are trailing 1-0 on aggregate after they suffered a defeat in the first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
Kekana believes his former team can overturn the deficit if they put enough pressure on Stellenbosch.
“In a competition like this, the favour you can do is to score goals. Make sure that you score early,” says Kekana.
He adds: “We are chasing the game. We just have to score early.”
Steve Barker’s charges are coming to this encounter breaming with confidence after they secured an away goal in Tshwane.
A draw or win for the Cape Town-based club will be enough for them to progress to the final.
However, a 1-0 defeat will see them go to extra-time and ultimately penalty shootouts.
