Royal AM & Sundowns Starting XIs Announced - iDiski Times

Royal AM and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership clash at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Royal AM find themselves still fighting hard and trying to avoid slipping into the promotional playoffs spot.

They currently sit on 29 points, two above Richards Bay and have the added catch-up game against Masandawana on Tuesday night.

Thwihli thwahla suffered four straight defeats before this clash, including a 1-0 loss against the same Sundowns three days ago. John Maduka and his troops need five points out of the possible nine to secure a guaranteed finish above the Natal Richboyz.

Meanwhile, on the Sundowns side, it’s all about chasing the records. The DStv Premiership champions aim to extend their unbeaten run to 51 matches in the league. They are chasing a record of winning and finishing the league unbeaten.

Downs is currently sitting on 66 points after 26 games and have conceded the lowest number of goals in nine, while also scoring the most with 48.

A win for them would send them to 69 points, just two points behind the league’s record tally of 71, which was achieved by Pitso Mosimane.

There has never been a draw in the fixture of these two sides. Sundowns won all the last six fixtures.
