Promise Mkhuma wears a mischievous grin when he talks about why he hasn't fulfilled his potential, but his voice - playful at first but serious when he starts talking about his father - betrays the hurt underneath. 

The Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker who is on loan at University of Pretoria FC has always used his humour and playful nature to hide his hurt.

He was among the most colourful and vocal members at Sundowns, cracking jokes and leading the singing.
