PARIS. – Sunday's Rugby World Cup quarter-final between South Africa and France at the Stade de France is not only the biggest play-off game of the weekend but one where four years of hard work for both teams boils down to 80 minutes of red-hot action.
The Springboks go into the Test as the defending champions, while France are still chasing a first-ever Rugby World Cup title as they host the tournament for a second time.
France, who won the 2022 Six Nations Grand Slam, have been the dominant Under-20 rugby force in recent years but have nothing to show for it at the highest level.
