He was making a great run down the left with the ball, and didn't take too kindly to being physically manhandled by Wiesner.

Lammers cuts in from the right, winds up, and lets fly a beauty that's bending towards the net. The Sparta keeper is able to nudge it over the bar.

Danilo it is who replaces him.

LAMMERS' TURN TO SEND ONE OVER
A bit closer than Wright's, though.
SCOTT WRIGHT SKIES A GREAT CHANCES
It was Rangers best move of the game for sure. Started by Raskin around the halfway line, continued by Sima who found Wright in space, but the winger snatched at it. He shoudln't even hae the excuse of being tired.
69'
The Sparta captain receives a yellow for scraping of Scott Wright. Both teams are looking tired, but especially Sparta who are a shadow of their first half selves.

AND A COUPLE OF SUBSTITUTIONS FOR SPARTA
Lukas Sadilek on for Qazim Laci. Victor Olatunji on for Adam Karabec. I don't think Rangers will be sorry to see the back of either of those two.

Scott Wright comes on to replace him.

For catching Kuchta as he's chasing the striker down the wing. Bit unnecessary that one.

DESSERS GETTING INTO THIS
And the Algerian is quite reasonably annoyed when he gets penalised for a very soft foul as he's holding the ball up on the edge of the Sparta box.
Possibly not technically Rangers' first shot on target, and not exactly difficult for the keeper, but he couldn't have saved it if he wasn't watching and in the vicinity of his right post.
ARE SPARTA STARTING TO BELIEVE AGAIN?
They were definitely doubting themselves for a bit, but they're using the left side of the pitch well, and Rangers can only defend in numbers.
BACK UP THE RANGERS END
Laci whips an inviting ball across the goal but there's nobody there for Sparta.
But we all agree he should, for a big, blatant shirt-pull. Sparta seemed to be feeling threatened. Have they spent a bit too much energy early on?
VINDAHL CALLED INTO ACTION
That was... almost a save from the Sparta keeper, as the ball bounced over towards Dessers, but the man in lurid pink was able to usher it away from danger.
RANGERS STARTING THE SECOND HALF WELL
Cyriel Dessers getting a low ball into the box, but we're almost immediately back up the other end with Sparta's forwards.

SPARTA START THE SECOND HALF
Can they make more of their chances? Can Rangers find something at the other end? (Which is actually the same end.)

SACHA STEGEMANN BLOWS FOR HALF-TIME
And somehow Rangers have made it to the break without conceding.
