Former Pirates Forward Shonga Passed Away - iDiski Times

Former Orlando Pirates forward Justin Shonga has sadly passed away, the Zambian Football Association confirmed on Sunday.

Shonga, 27, last played for Najran in the Saudi second division. He is well-known in south Africa, having played for Sekhukhune United, Cape Town City and TTM after joining Pirates in 2027.

He made 77 appearances for the Sea Robbers, scoring 16 goals and setting up 16 more, and also represented Chipolopolo 15 times, netting seven times.

However, his sad passing was announced on Sunday.

“Former Chipolopolo forward Justin Shonga has died. Zambia Police Deputy Spokesperson Dan Mwale has confirmed in an interview with the FAZ Media Team,”

“Mwale said Shonga died at Sikanze Police Hospital after a short illness. More details will be availed in due course.”
