In the greater scheme of things, the Sharks won't qualify for the Champions Cup unless they win the URC.

They'll also have to face Leinster in the quarter-finals...

Not a great thought for Sharks fans.

It ends 22-all after Munster come agonisingly short of scoring the winner, but the Sharks somehow hold the ball up.

It was an impressive tackling performance from the Sharks, but they simply didn't have enough ball to keep Munster further at bay.

What a waste after they led 22-3.

TRY - Connor Murray

The Sharks are in trouble now.

Munster have been excellent in this second half, methodically going about their business.

They hammer away at the Sharks line and despite some resolute defence, Murray cheekily rounds off a drive from close range.

Crowley is unlucky with the touchline conversion.

It hits the inside of the upright but doesn't go over. 

TRY - Calvin Nash

That's just superb from the Munster winger!

He seemingly has nothing to work with on his down the right, launches a kick forward and then sees Boeta Chamberlain, who put the Sharks in this position because he overcooked a penalty to touch, fail to gather.

And, needless to say, dots down.

This contest is alive. 

Yellow!

It evens up again as Munster skipper Peter O'Mahoney is sent to the bin for escalating a scuffle between the forwards, almost violently throwing Werner Kok to the ground.

Poor leadership in that instance. 

PENALTY TRY

False start for Aphelele Fassi, who's come on for the injured Bosch.

He finds himself way off-side with Munster on the attack and is adjudged to have prevented a certain try by going to the scoring pass in that position.

It's a yellow card for him. 

Munster now have an opportunity to gain a foothold again.

Boeta Chamberlain does well to convert a 46m penalty after the Sharks scrum rumbles again.

It is an interesting decision though to go for posts.

Boeta Chamberlain takes over kicking duties and nails his conversion. 

TRY - Sikhumbuzo Notshe

The Sharks, despite their setbacks, have really used their forwards well.

After the Springbok front-row force a penalty, the hosts kick to touch and promptly score from the set-piece after Mbonambi's barge and off-load allows Notshe to dive over. 

Another huge blow for the Sharks.

Curwin Bosch is now off too and he's looked distinctly uncomfortable.

Is it a knee?

Bosch nails a goodie. 

TRY - Werner Kok

The resultant penalty sees Bosch find a good touch.

The Sharks are efficient at the lineout as Phepsi Buthelezi launches a powerful dart before putting the former Blitzbok into space, who rolls over the line eventually.

TMO Holly Davidson is initially sceptical if Kok rolled and made a double movement, but he's in the clear.

Shane Daly takes out an aerial Curwin Bosch by turning his back on the Sharks pivot.

The law is the law and he's in the sin bin. 

Munster have managed to find a foothold in this game as the Sharks struggle to get their hands on the ball.

They've been camped in the hosts' half and almost manage to find a way to the tryline before prop Stephen Archer coughts up.

The Sharks managed to get a relieving penalty from the resulting scrum.

Munster keep the pressure up and eventually forced a penalty. 

Crowley pops it over. 

Superb defence by the Sharks.

Munster win a turnover after a fine steal on the ground.

They kick to touch and maul, but the Durbanites manage to nip possession and launch a relieving kick.

Oh dear.

Siya Kolisi couldn't run it off.

He's replaced by Phepsi Buthelezi.

The Sharks and Boks will hope it's not too serious.

Bosch's difficult conversion is wide. 

TRY - Bongi Mbonambi

The vaunted Sharks scrum lays down an immediate marker as it forces a penalty, which is initially wasted by an errant Werner Kok pass in midfield.

But they make the advantage count and the Bok No 2 drives over from a maul. 

What a start by the Sharks.

They keep the ball alive brilliantly for multiple phases before the go down the right and find space through some brilliantlinterplay between Siya Kolisi and Lukhanyo Am.

Munster eventually keep them out. 

Emotional day for Siya Kolisi, who leads the Sharks out of the tunnel for his last home game in a black jersey. 

He's off to Racing 92 later this year.
