Scottie Scheffler is in position to win a second green jacket.

The world’s top-ranked golfer enters Sunday’s final round at Augusta National with a one-shot lead, thanks to his 1-under 71 on Saturday. He’s been on an incredible stretch of golf lately, too, having carded 39 straight rounds of par or better.

Scheffler went off in the final group with Collin Morikawa, who started just a shot back at 6-under. Morikawa is also searching for his second Masters title after his win there in 2022. To help them both, 28 of the last 33 winners at the Masters have come from the final group. While there was a four-way tie for the lead at one point, Scheffler whipped out a wild approach at the ninth that nearly gave him an eagle. That sent him to the back side at 8-under in the solo lead.

Max Homa, who failed to make a birdie all day on Saturday, started in third at 5-under. He had 17 pars and a single bogey in his third round, and made the turn at 6-under. Masters rookie Ludvig Aberg started alone in fourth at 4-under, though he birdied the ninth to join get to 7-under. Morikawa missed a bogey at the ninth and had to settle for a double, which dropped him to 5-under.

Though he was well out of contention, Tiger Woods finished his first true tournament in over a year on Sunday afternoon. Woods went 5-over on Sunday and dropped to 16-over on the week, which is the highest score among those who made the cut and the worst final score of his professional career. Sunday was his 100th competitive round at Augusta National.
