Securing the second set with a strategic serve break at 5-4, Jabeur took control of the match in the deciding set. She is now slated to face off against Aryna Sabalenka, who ousted Madison Keys, in the upcoming semi-finals on Thursday (13 July).

Sabalenka (Belarus), showcased her skills against Keys, winning 6-2, 6-4, and keeping her dream of clinching her first Wimbledon title - and potential world number one spot - alive.

Rybakina's early exit guarantees a first-time women's singles champion this year.

Compared to last year's showdown, Jabeur's performance was notably more aggressive as she overpowered Rybakina with 35 winners versus 21. Jabeur acknowledged, "I chose to go for my shots because trying to play it safe against her isn't effective."
