South African singer Rethabile Khumalo has been hospitalised after a suspected poisoning incident, allegedly involving a close friend.
Rethabile, the daughter of the famous singer Winnie Khumalo, has carved out a successful career in the South African music scene, known for her powerful voice and energetic performances.
Her collaboration on the hit single “Ntyilo Ntyilo and Umlilo” has garnered widespread acclaim and solidified her place in the industry.
Taking to Instagram, her mother, Winnie, wrote: “It has been six days now in hospital…So I decided it’s only fair to share with her supporters this sad news…They did 3 operations on her already we hoping that @rethabile_rsa will soon recover but at the moment akukho kuhle (Things are not looking good)….She has been On and off…When you pray please include her in your prayers….Ubunzima bokuba umzali (The difficulty of being a parent).”
In the comments section, many people wished the singer a speedy recovery. One Instagram user said, “I believe us youth we will learn from her situation and stay away from friends.”
MC, DJ, and motivational speaker Prudence Pruluv Mathebula commented, “Praying for her healing and health in Jesus’ mighty name.” Actress Manaka Ranaka also expressed her concern, saying, “Oh sisi… (sister).”
