Things are starting to become easy for Real and his time it's Bellingham with a shot. He seems to rush it and is unable to bring the ball down so his shot from the outside of the box just wide of the target.
It's a lovely little scorpion flick by Valverde, which sets just Vazquez for a shot, which is wide and rising.

That was beautiful. Jude Bellingham sends a inch perfect ball through for Mbappe, he needs one touch to get the ball away from the defender before shooting just outside the box.
It bounces off the post into the goal. That's one way to silence the doubters.

It had been a quite even affair before that penalty, with the home side having their own chances but can Getafe respond?
The penalty decision would have been a blow but there was plenty of foreshadowing before that incident as Nyom flattened Rudiger in the box.

After a lengthy VAR check, the penalty is given. Mbappe was around the spot but it looks like it's going to be Jude Bellingham to take.

It was bound to happen. It's a Real Madrid corner. Allan Nyom once again is marking Antonio Rudiger and brings him down in the box again. The referee was all over it.
It's a penalty. Who will take it?
Rudiger swings in a great ball into the box, which the Getafe goalkeeper Soria makes a mess of and lands awkwardly on his side. It takes a while but he's back up and comfortable to play.

That was a beautiful ball by Valverde to play in Mbappe but the former PSG frontman is crowded out and is unable to get his shot away.
Real Madrid have done their homework, as the corner is headed out of the box by Jude Bellingham, before Juan Iglesias low shot from the outside of the box was saved.
Getafe have been a threat this season from set-pieces and will have to do better to get past the first man.
VAZQUEZ SHOOTS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE BOX
Lucas Vazquez has sight of the goal but it lacks any direction or power and goes wide of the post.

Rodrygo to take but it's headed out by Iglesias for a corner. The corner is cleared too, albeit with some tussling between Nyom and Rudiger once again - it's fair to say, he's been given his orders to mark Rudiger, he's refusing to let him out of his sight.
