Real Madrid's opponents in the first round of the Champions League ...

Real Madrid now know the eight opponents they will face in the first round of the 2024/25 Champions League following the draw held in Monaco. The reigning European champions will face Borussia Dortmund, Milan, Salzburg and Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabéu and Liverpool, Atalanta, Lille and Brest away.

17 September kick off
In the first phase, all 36 teams will compete in the same group. It runs from 17 September to 29 January, with the top eight going straight through to the Round of 16 and the teams from 9th to 24th place playing in an intermediate round of games to be played over two legs. The remaining teams are knocked out, without access to the Europa League. From the round of 16, the traditional format will continue until the final, which this year will take place on 31 May 2025 in Munich.
