RANGERS have had a number of players involved in international duty over the past week with Pinatar Cup, UEFA Nations League play-offs and friendly matches taking place.

Here is a roundup of who was involved and how they got on:

Jenna Fife, Nicola Docherty, Chelsea Cornet, Jane Ross, Brogan Hay – Scotland

Philippines 0-2 Scotland – Pinatar Cup Semi-Final

Scotland 1-1 Finland (4-5 Pens) – Pinatar Cup Final

Five Gers stars were part of the Scotland squad that participated in the Pinatar Cup during the break as they competed in the tournament for the fourth time.

A Martha Thomas double saw them overcome the Philippines in the semi-final in a game in which there were starts for Rangers captain Nicola Docherty and Brogan Hay with Chelsea Cornet making an appearance as well as Jane Ross making her long-awaited return to the national setup from the substitutes bench.

Pedro Martinez Losa’s side played out the final in Spain yesterday afternoon with two Rangers players in the lineup once again including a first Scotland start for Chelsea Cornet.

The team narrowly lost out on penalty kicks to Finland after a 1-1 draw as the respective players involved will now return to their club as they prepare to return to SWPL action this weekend.

Megan Bell – Northern Ireland

Montenegro 0-2 Northern Ireland – UEFA Nations League Play-Off

Northern Ireland 1-1 Montenegro – UEFA Nations League Play-Off

The midfielder who is currently on loan at Hearts played her part for her country over the break as they maintained their place in UEFA Nations League Group B.

Tanya Oxtoby’s side ran out 3-1 aggregate winners over Montenegro in the relegation play-offs with Megan appearing from the bench in the away win before starting the draw in the second leg last night in Belfast.

Rachel Rowe – Wales

Republic of Ireland 0-2 Wales – Friendly

Rachel started and helped contribute to Wales’ 2-0 friendly win over the Republic of Ireland last night.

Goals from Jess Fishlock and Susan Woodham gave the away side victory as they prepare themselves for the return of the competitive international fixtures in April.

Jodi McLeary, Laura Berry, Mia McAulay, Eilidh Austin, Mason Clark, Kayla Jardine and Jenna Ferguson – Scotland Under-19s

Wales Under-19s 1-5 Scotland Under-19s – Friendly

Wales Under-19s 2-5 Scotland Under-19s – Friendly

Several Rangers youngsters were involved as the young Scots enjoyed a vastly productive friendly double header with back-to-back victories over Wales in Wrexham.

There were goals for Gers trio Jodi McLeary, Mia McAulay and Laura Berry as they ran out 5-1 winners in the first meeting between the sides before another five goals were to follow three days later.

The Under-19s ran out 5-2 winners the second time round with all the young Light Blues stars making up the scoring including goals for Kayla Jardine, McLeary once again and a second half Laura Berry hat-trick whilst there was also minutes for Eilidh Austin, Jenna Ferguson and Mason Clark across the outings as they warmed up for their round two European Qualifiers in April in style.
