South African Presidency Debunks Rumors About President’s Health

Debunking the swirling rumors of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s alleged ill health and hospitalization, the South African Presidency has issued a statement confirming his good health. These conjectures gained momentum on social media platforms, suggesting that President Ramaphosa had been admitted to the Military Hospital in Pretoria after skipping certain activities at an African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Mbombela due to an unspecified emergency.

Deputy President Steps in

As the rumors ran rampant, Deputy President Paul Mashatile took charge of the President’s responsibilities at the meeting. This further fueled speculations about the President’s health. However, his spokesperson Vincent Magwenya, assured the public that there was no cause for concern.
