State Police arrest Albany Man following a road rage incident ...

On July 2, 2024, the State Police of Latham arrested Khymeir Yarbrough, 25, of Albany, NY, on an arrest warrant for Menacing in the second degree, Reckless Endangerment in the second degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  During the arrest, Yarbrough was also charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and Resisting Arrest. 

 On April 13, 2024, at about 4:26 p.m., Troopers responded to North Pearl Street in Albany, NY, for the reports of a menacing with a handgun.  The investigation determined that during a road rage incident on I-787 in Albany, NY, an operator displayed and pointed a handgun at the victims and their vehicle.  At the time of the incident, the victim’s vehicle contained two adults and a child under the age of 17.  Yarbrourgh was later identified as the individual who possessed and displayed the handgun, and the Albany City Court issued a warrant for his arrest.  

On July 2, 2024, Yarbrourgh was located during a traffic stop on Madison Avenue in Albany, NY.  Yarbrourgh fled on foot during the stop and was quickly taken into custody on Partridge Street.  While being taken into custody, he was found to possess felony-weight narcotics resulting in additional charges. 

Yarbrourgh was transported to SP Latham for processing.  He was arraigned at the Green Island Town Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
