It’s undeniable that a massive part of rAge is about the free reign it gives you to mingle with like-minded people and to geek out about all things well, geeky and gaming. However, rAge is also a way for many to break into the gaming and esports industries.

This year, RGB Gaming will again be at rAge, focusing on uplifting, coaching and inspiring Esports within South African schools. Over the last few years, RGB Gaming has been giving the youth an opportunity to access international gaming tournaments as well as helping them build towards building their careers in gaming and even STEM-focused programs.

In 2022, RGB Gaming hosted many free-to-play experiences at the RGB stand, including Minecraft build challenges, FIFA tournaments and our first introduction to the RGB VR Arena.

But instead of just delivering more of the same, RGB Gaming plans to completely outdo themselves at rAge 2023 by bringing even more activities, bigger tournaments, and expanding their free-to-play environment with exciting new Tech and Gamer setups for visitors to enjoy.

The main events that RGB Gaming will be hosting include:

The Minecraft Championship When: Friday What: Various Primary Schools facing off against each other to be crowned the rAge 2023 Champions Eduvos When: Saturday What: Several Eduvos Campuses and fifteen University teams will be playing to claim the top position in Apex Legends Rookie Rumble When: Sunday What: Rookie Rumble will feature a host of new schools experiencing an Esports Tournament, some for the first time. Primary and Middle Schools will play Minecraft in this tournament, with one of the schools coming in first place.

That’s only some of what RGB Gaming will bring to rAge 2023; additional events will be included from Friday to Sunday, including an open Minecraft Tournament, Build Challenges, and Console gaming featuring Fortnite, FIFA and Overcooked.

On top of that, visitors looking for some physical activity in their rAge expo experience can pop over to the RGB VR Arena, which will offer 2vs2 and 4vs4 events, all hosted in Virtual reality.

RGB Gaming strives to highlight the benefits of gaming for families and students and promote how competitive gaming and gaming-themed learning activities help children learn strategic and management skills.
