South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has recently stated in an interview with Star Sports that Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is his current favorite cricketer. Ahead of the World Cup 2023 clash against Pakistan on October 27 at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai, Rabada made this revelation.

“My current favorite cricketer is Ravindra Jadeja. He is a complete cricketer who can contribute to all three facets of the game. He is a world-class bowler, a great fielder, and a more than handy batsman. He is also a very intelligent cricketer who knows how to read the game and make match-winning contributions,” Rabada said.

Rabada went on to praise Jadeja’s work ethic and dedication to the game.

“Jadeja is one of the hardest working cricketers I have seen. He is always putting in the extra effort, both on and off the field. He is also a very humble and down-to-earth person, which is something I admire a lot,” he added.

Rabada has been in excellent form in the ongoing World Cup, leading the Protean pace attack in the absence of Anrich Nortje. He has picked up 10 wickets so far in the tournament. His most impressive performance came against Australia where he picked up 3 wickets for 33 runs in 8 overs.

Rabada’s praise for Jadeja is high praise indeed, coming from one of the most feared bowlers in the world. It is also a testament to the quality of the cricketer that Jadeja is.

While Kagiso Rabada will not be playing in South Africa’s match against Pakistan, his form with the ball will be crucial for the team as they approach the knockout stages of the World Cup.
