Pitch report

Pommie Mbangwa from the center says, “It is bone dry. It’s been very hot. There’ll be lots of runs on this, it looks pretty good. Expect a whole lot of runs and many sixes.”

Expect a high scoring affair?

Average first innings score here at the Wanderers Stadium is 173. An average of 12 sixes are hit at this venue due to high altitude.

In the last T20I played at this venue earlier this year between West Indies and South Africa, a total of 433 runs were scored.

How’s the weather in Johannesburg?

Not raining. Partly cloudy but there’s no rain predicted in the afternoon. Expect a full game.

Can the bowlers help India level the series?

The second T20I against the Proteas was a microcosm of the struggles these next-line Indian bowlers have gone through more often than not over the last three weeks.
